Shimano XTR front and rear hub FH-M900 HB-M900

The Shimano M900 hubset is a beautiful front and rear hub with matching quick releases. Comparing the front hub to the previous generation –Deore XT front hub- the obvious difference is off course the nice XTR silver finish.

Shimano RD-M650 Deore DX rear derailleur

Shimano BL-MT63 Deore II cantilever brake levers

These two pairs of Shimano cantilever brakes are the original high-performance brakes of the 80′ies before low profile brakes became the norm.
As you can see one pair is in black the other is in silver, originally the Deore XT group was available in two colors, hubs, seatpost and cranks came in either black or silver IIRC.

Shimano ST-M091 RapidFire brake shift lever

Much can be said about these Shimano Deore XT RapidFire brake and shift levers. They are the precesors to the RapidFire plus shifters and where hot debate back in the day if they where such a better shifter than a thumbshifter.

ATI Manitou Shock boots

Yes, they are a bit ugly (and maybe a bit stiff), but these shock boots are a must for anyone still holding on to their trusty Manitou 2 fork.

Suntour XC-Comp 7-speed thumbshifters

In the long quest of playing catching up with Simano Suntour had a couple of components which were as good performing if not better performing than what was offered by Shimano back in the day.
