Shimano XTR M900 Cantilever brakes

Best kept secret in the bike world is that the more CNC machined a brake was the better it worked.  It seems like that myth have been broken by the mythbusters expanding their knowledge and internet presence on such enlightened places as MTBR vintage forums.

Shimano XTR front and rear hub FH-M900 HB-M900

The Shimano M900 hubset is a beautiful front and rear hub with matching quick releases. Comparing the front hub to the previous generation –Deore XT front hub- the obvious difference is off course the nice XTR silver finish.
