Shimano M910 XTR rear derailleur and ST-M900 brake shift lever combo sale

For sale this time is my old Shimano M900 set I have saved in my attic for quite a few years. Shimano XTR M900 parts are always sought after so I suspect these will be bought relatively quick. This is the XTR rear derailleur and XTR shift/brake-levers.
The Shimano RD-M910 rear derailleur is in used condition, [...]

Shimano old school cantilever brakes BR-M732 and BR-MT62

The silver brake is a Shimano BR-MT62 Deore II cantilever brake, the black brake is a Shimano BR-M732 Deore XT cantilever brake. As you notice, the parts number is different even though the only difference is the color, black and silver.
Actually the silver brake is from an older group set I think and the black [...]

Bombproof Shimano Deore II BL-MT63 cantilever brake levers

These Simano Deore II two finger brake levers are the proper old school brake lever of choice for any serious MTB around the beginning of the 90′ies. They most surely look like boat anchors today, and yes compared to the latest KCNC 45 gram brake levers these ARE boat anchors. But back in the day [...]

Shimano XTR M900 Cantilever brakes

Best kept secret in the bike world is that the more CNC machined a brake was the better it worked.  It seems like that myth have been broken by the mythbusters expanding their knowledge and internet presence on such enlightened places as MTBR vintage forums.
We must thankfully be very nice to these nice people not [...]

Shimano M730 Deore XT seatpost – not pathetic genuine rare and vintage

Shimano makes seatpost, may come as news to somebody. Well at least they used to, I do not know if they produce seatposts anymore under the Shimano label but the old school posts was robust and relatively nice looking parts.
The black Shimano M730 seatpost has a simple one bolt saddle clamp system that is not [...]

Shimano SL-M732 Deore XT 7-speed thumbshifter

These days there are quite a lot of freak mobiles around – and people seem proud to ride them. Back in the day, the thought of running a 29 inch front and 26 rear wheels was unthinkable, maybe a 26 front and 24 rears but nobody continued doing that.
There are some rumours that there were [...]

Beautiful retro Shimano XTR M900 crankset

It is often interesting to read discussion about vintage cranksets where people sometimes mention the Shimano M900 XTR crankset in the same league as Grafton Joysticks or Kooka cranks.
But there is a big difference between small boutique brand cranks and Shimanos top of the line retro XTR crank, you typically do not have to speculate if you [...]

Shimano SL-M730 Deore XT thumb shifter

This is a single Shimano thumbshifter for the front derailleur. If you are asking where the other thumbshifter is I am sorry to say I do not know.
I bought this one because I had a right thumbshifter, but when I received it I noticed that they where not of the same model number (how stupid [...]

Shimano SL-MT62 Deore DX thumbshifters

There are still retro grouches who prefer thumbshifters and there are still options if you want to run a modern MTB drivetrain with thumbshifters. However nothing comes close in beauty as the Shimano Deore DX and XT thumbshifters of early 90’ies.
Shimano Deore DX thumbshifters are quite like the XT parts but slightly cheaper in appearance [...]

Shimano PD-M735 mountain bike pedals

Shimano killed the conventional clipless pedal when they released clipless pedals for the MTB in the SPD system. But even after SPD system where released they quietly released these Shimano Deore XT PD-M735 platform pedals.
Clipless pedals ala SPD might be scary, but they actually improve your pedalling efficiency, ironically they might also be a bit [...]
